International Cooperation

There are 250 foreign students taking classes at D. Mendeleev University. The University has been training foreign specialists since 1946.

Over this period, the Moscow D. Mendeleev Chemical Technology Institute and later D. Mendeleyev University has trained over 4100 specialists from 80 countries, including

  • more than 2800 chemical process engineers from 79 countries;
  • 600 PhD students from 48 countries;
  • more then 700 interns from 47 countries;
  • 5 Doctors of Sciences

Annually, about 160 MUCTR students, post-graduate students and professors go abroad to study, teach, work on Master and PhD dissertations, carry out research and participate in conferences and workshops.

MUCTR students continue their studies with the leading foreign universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Italy and Japan.

The University has entered into 80 cooperation agreements with the universities from the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the United States, Germany, Syria, France, Vietnam, Tunisia, Chile, Italy, Spain, Guinea, Japan, Finland, Yugoslavia, Poland, Czech Republic, Korea, Egypt, Greece, the Netherlands and China.

MUCTR carries out major international conferences, symposia, and seminars held under the auspices of UNESCO, IUPAC, and the Russian Chemical Society.

The University actively participates in the international, academic, and research programmes financed via grants issued by various government and private foundations.

MUCTR maintains strong relations with the leading foreign academic and research centres. In accordance with the ancient traditions, the University confers the title of HONORABLE DOCTOR to the leading educators, researchers, social and political figures.
